Power distribution and motor control
GRS has experience in power distribution systems from 66kV to 400V, including power system planning, overhead line design, residential power distribution, commercial power distribution and substation design.
We provide an efficient service in cable selection and protection coordination. We use Cymap modelling software and have an ongoing relationship with Cymap in developing new features.
We have successfully designed and managed numerous new motor control and switchboard projects, both greenfield and existing upgrades.
MCCs require a range of issues to be considered including substation design, protection coordination, load forecasting and modelling, power factor correction, metering, cable sizing, layout and elevation drawings, building services, fire protection, air conditioning, PLC control.
Management and construction issues we consider include safety in construction, risk and practicality of installation.
